Pennsylvania Avenue Elevated
(
1995
)
11 x 14 3/8 x 17 inches
This piece was modeled after the elevated subway station I used to get off at to attend Thomas Jefferson High School in Brooklyn.
Aside from the view into the subway car, there is also another view down the flight of stairs — complete with signs directing you to the school.
Probably the big surprise built into this piece is the view out the broken window on the station. You can see the buildings across the street, complete with a view into someone's living room. Their black and white TV is on, but the vertical hold is 'out of wack.'
